กันธารวี เทพเจ้าแห่งเสียงดนตรีกำลังหลับฝันถึงภารกิจของเธอ เธอฝันถึงดินแดนตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ สุวรรณภูมิ เธอฝันถึงวันที่มนุษย์หยิบหินไม้ดินทรายขึ้นมาเคาะเคล้าเขย่าเล่นแล้วหยุดไม่ได้ เธอฝันถึงวันที่มนุษย์เริ่มประกอบชิ้นส่วนหลากหลายกลายเป็นเครื่องมือ เธอฝันถึงวันที่เรื่องราวมันเริ่มหลุดเกินจากอำนาจของเธอ เธอฝันเห็นโรงเรียนดนตรี เห็นสำนัก เห็นครูบาอาจารย์ เห็นเศียร เห็นผี เธอฝันได้ยินท่วงทำนอง เธอได้ยินผู้คนหวาดกลัวเสียงของวัฒนธรรมตัวเอง เธอฝันเห็นอดีต ปัจจุบัน อนาคตของดนตรี อดีต ปัจจุบัน อนาคต ที่ไม่รู้ว่าจริงอยู่ ณ แห่งหนใด และนี่คือฝันของเธอ
Gandharvi’s Dream เป็นการแสดงดนตรีทดลองว่าด้วยประวัติศาสตร์และอนาคตสมมติของ “ดนตรีไทย” มีการใช้ดนตรีตั้งแต่ดนตรี Primitive ดนตรีดั้งเดิม ดนตรีพื้นเมือง/ชนเผ่า คลาสสิก ไปจนถึงร่วมสมัยและดนตรีทดลอง ใช้ตั้งแต่หิน ดิน ถ้วยจานชาม เครื่องดนตรี ไปจนถึงเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้า ในการแสดง

Gandharvi the goddess of music is daydreaming of her missions… She dreams about a southeast asian land, the Suvarnabhumi. She dreams of the days that humankind starts to pick up on rocks, dirts and sands and could never stop “playing” with them. She dreams of the days that humankind starts to build things into “instruments” just to play and listen to them. She dreams of the days that things have gone out of her hands. She dreams of altars, ghosts, she hears melodies, she hears people scared of their own inventions. She dreams of the past, present and future of existences in nowhere. And this is her dreams.
Gandharvi’s Dream is an Experimental/Contemporary Music Performance on imagined history (and future) of “Thai Music”. The show utilizes folk, traditional, classical, primitive, tribal, experimental and contemporary music using all from dirts (literally) synthesizers.
