About the show:

Three stories about Shame, Guilt and not being able to let go of the past.

Things that replay in our heads, things that we keep repeating over and over again trying to find a solution, or some sort of understanding so that we can move on..

Director’s note

Acting is a craft used for many things, where ever you go whatever you do, some form of acting is practiced every day. Acting, especially in theatre is doing the same thing over and over again, saying the same lines doing the same blocking, doing it like the first time, using your imagination to help you believe – that you never did this before, we see this especially in rehearsals, this is what interests me, I think as humans we all made mistakes we hurt people and one day, in our heads we restage these memories and go over it, sometimes to right a wrong sometimes out of guilt, which really raises the questions if we really are living in the present. In a way we all try to act ‘right’ to do the right thing, but that is not who we really are, acting almost becomes a lie, used to achieve something, like a hidden agenda, either to sell something or be someone or even having to be someone that they don’t want to be.

So in theatre, I always want to explore the areas where we are vulnerable, a place outside the comfort zone we are used to and just be truthful to given circumstances.

About the artist:

Fullfat theatre was founded by Nophand Boonyai who started the group in 2017. Our first production was Co exist but prior to that the group has worked together on ‘Happy new year Mr.Smith’ in 2016. The group’s focus is exploring the possibilities of theatre, the ways it can be delivered to the people and performing in spaces that is outside of the theatre. As the artistic director of Fullfat, Nophand frequently talks of contemporary life in his work - the wonder of being alive, the curiosity of death and everything else in between. Our action plan is to communicate with subjects that matter in socially and spiritually, mankind has almost come full circle and the question that we are wondering is “where did we come from and where are we going?”

Though the group is very new, our ambition is to spread our style of theatre to the largest audience possible using the craft of storytelling with mixed media to speak of subjects that relates to what it means to be alive in the 21st century.
