For this work, Ornanong was selected as one of 100 nominees of the Freedom of Expression Award by the UK-based Index of Censorship. This year, Ornanong returns with her signature in subtly reflecting social happenings in her homeland through the lens of "humanity" using the form of performing arts.
Ornanong invites you to travel to "Sawan Arcade," an area of performance where you can explore the paradise (in Thai - sawan) that surrounds us all. Who owns this paradise? Does it belong to anyone? If you or your beloved was eliminated from this place so that it could still be called "Sawan Arcade," would you still call it a paradise yourself? And how much humanity is there in this arcade of paradise? These questions are given to us all as we travel into this heavenly place together.

Culture Collective Studio is back again this year
with THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY,
adapted from the original of Oscar Wilde.
A corrupt young man somehow keeps his youthful beauty, but a special painting gradually reveals his inner ugliness to all. Dorian Gray's portrait is painted by Basil Hallward. Through Basil, Dorian meets Lord Henry Wotton who believes that beauty and sensual fulfillment are most important in life. Dorian offers to sell his soul, so that the picture, rather than he, will age. The wish is granted, and Dorian pursues a life of amoral experiences, while staying young and beautiful.
This is one of the best story from Oscar Wilde.
This spoken theatre with music performance will be performed in English without Thai surtitle.
Adapted and directed by Loni Berry.
Lead by an African, a Swiss, a Canadian, a British, a Swedish, and a Thai.

The Biblical story of Salome, a girl who agrees to perform the "dance of the seven veils" in return for John the Baptist's head on a silver platter.
Salome takes a perverse fancy for John the Baptist, and causes him to be executed when John spurns her affections. In the finale, Salome takes up John's severed head and kisses it.
